Barry Mielke

Barry Mielke is the Director of Energy Systems at South Dakota State University. Barry previously worked as a Project Engineer at VeraSun Energy from April 2006 to February 2008, where they managed construction projects at various ethanol plants.

Barry Mielke has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from South Dakota State University as well as a Master of Science in Operations Management from the same school. Barry is certified as a Certified Education Facilities Professional from APPA and as a Professional Engineer from the State of South Dakota Board of Technical Professions.

They work with Michaela Willis - VP for Student Affairs & Enrollment Management, Karyn Weber - Chief of Staff, and Justin Sell - Director of Athletics. Barry Mielke reports to Barry Dunn, President.
