Victor Taylor

Vice Provost for Graduate Education and Extended Studies at South Dakota State University

Victor E. Taylor serves as the Vice Provost for Graduate Education and Extended Studies and Interim Dean of The College of Education and Human Sciences at South Dakota State University since April 2022. Taylor has been the Executive Editor for The Journal For Cultural and Religious Theory since December 1999. Previous roles include serving as the inaugural Director of Graduate and Professional Programs, Director of the Institute for Civic Arts and Humanities, Interim Dean of the Graham School of Business, and General Education Coordinator at York College of Pennsylvania from May 1998 to June 2022. Taylor's academic contributions also include positions as a Research Fellow and Visiting Scholar at The Johns Hopkins University from August 2012 to August 2021, Director of Academic Publishing at Davies Group Publishers from January 2010 to January 2020, and various visiting research roles across esteemed institutions including University of Pennsylvania and UCLA. Taylor earned a Ph.D. in Humanities/Humanistic Studies from Syracuse University College of Arts and Sciences.
