Jim Marshall has lived in Shoreham by Sea since 2001. He works for the water industry with spells research, regulation, assurance and consultancy. During his time he has promoted the public health aspects of drinking water as an alternative to fizzy drinks and was also part of the team that promoted the Refill initiative to reduce bottled water use. He has previously held trustee roles with CABWI (training and awarding body for the water industry) as well as charity roles with Cancer Research and Friends of Shoreham Beach. He was awarded an OBE by the late Queen in October 2020 for services to the water industry during the Covid pandemic.
