Briena Shiels

Briena Shiels is a GIS professional currently serving as the GIS Lead for the Dublin Urban Rivers Life Project at South Dublin County Council since January 2023. Previously, Briena held positions as a Senior GIS Consultant and Geographic Information Systems Consultant at AECOM from June 2021 to December 2022, and as a Geographic Information Systems Officer at Irish Water from January 2019 to June 2021, where responsibilities included map production and webGIS development. Earlier experience includes working as a Shop Assistant at Gelato Di Natura from June 2016 to June 2018. Briena holds a Master of Science in Biodiversity and Conservation from Trinity College Dublin and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical and Biological Sciences from Maynooth University.
