Samantha Jane Hughes is a seasoned professional in water and land stewardship with extensive experience in environmental evaluation and project management. Currently serving as a Specialist in Water Resilience at South East Rivers Trust since June 2021, Samantha also holds the title of Evaluator for the European Commission, assessing proposals for the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships and Widespread funding calls. With a strong background in training and coaching at Climate-KIC, and previous roles as Project Development Manager and Assistant Researcher, Samantha has developed a diverse skill set in river restoration, catchment management, and environmental consultancy. Educational credentials include a Research Doctorate in Life Sciences and a Master's Degree in Aquatic Resource Management from King's College London, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Zoology from The University of Manchester.
