Christy Mitchell

Christy Mitchell is an accomplished arts administrator and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the creative sector. Currently serving as the Executive Director of the South End Arts and Business Association since May 2019, Christy leads a non-profit organization that supports over 600 business and artist members in promoting the South End Arts District of Burlington, VT, and organizes a major annual arts event attracting 10-20,000 visitors. From August 2009 to August 2023, Christy was the Founding Owner and Director of The S.P.A.C.E. Gallery, a hybrid art gallery featuring artist studios and hosting monthly exhibitions. Additionally, Christy was the Founding Executive Director of Generator Makerspace from August 2013 to September 2015, where a non-profit model was established to enhance community access to advanced tools and training in creative fields. Christy holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Metals and Jewelry Design from Savannah College of Art and Design, earned between 1999 and 2003.
