Senior Manager, Science And Environmental Content at South Florida PBS

Alexa Elliott is an accomplished media professional with extensive experience in science and environmental content. Currently serving as a Fellow National at The Explorers Club since May 2024, and as a Senior Manager of Science and Environmental Content at South Florida PBS since November 2006, Alexa develops and executes a content strategy that highlights South Florida's unique ecosystems across various platforms. In 2008, Alexa created "Changing Seas," a documentary-style series focused on ocean issues, which has aired for fifteen seasons. Additionally, Alexa holds a board member position at the Ocean Media Institute and previously served on the Board of Governors for the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences - Suncoast Chapter. With a solid educational background in telecommunications and journalism from the University of Florida and Morehead State University, Alexa has also engaged in numerous workshops and institutes aimed at enhancing marine and environmental reporting.
