Daniel Marchio

Environmental Scientist II at South Florida Water Management District

Daniel Marchio is an experienced environmental scientist with a strong background in water management and education. Currently holding the position of Environmental Scientist II at the South Florida Water Management District since May 2016, Daniel is responsible for the collection and processing of surface water samples in compliance with various ecological restoration regulations related to the Everglades. Prior to this role, Daniel served as a Biology II Lecturer at Florida Gulf Coast University, where tenured instruction and the establishment of a rich learning environment for students were key contributions. Daniel's previous experience includes serving as a Site Engineer at the Ohio State University Olentangy River Wetlands and managing the construction of an environmental laboratory in Naples, Florida. Daniel holds a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science from The Ohio State University and a Master's Degree in Environmental Science from Florida Gulf Coast University.
