Peter Weller is an experienced educator currently teaching high school English and journalism at South Hadley High School since August 2005, where more than 1,800 students have benefited from a diverse curriculum across various courses. In addition to teaching, Peter serves as the District Mentor Program Coordinator, fostering new teachers' development by pairing them with veteran mentors. As an Education Policy Fellow with Teach Plus, Peter actively contributes to early literacy initiatives and policies diversifying the teaching profession, returning as a senior policy fellow for a second year. Peter's prior roles include adjunct professor at American International College and English and journalism instructor at multiple institutions, complemented by a strong foundation in journalism and writing from various publications. Educationally, Peter holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of English Education from Plymouth State University and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership from the University of New England.
