Kristin Patten

Kristin Patten is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in public information, reporting, and editing. Currently serving as the Public Information Officer and Risk Communicator for South Health District since March 2019, Kristin has also held the position of Copy Desk Supervisor and Reporter at Valdosta Daily Times since May 2013. While at Valdosta Daily Times, responsibilities have included supervising a team, reporting local news with a focus on education, and managing digital content. Previous experience includes working as a Freelance Stringer for The Associated Press, reporting on elections, and as a Reporter for Greene Publishing, Inc., covering a wide range of local stories. Kristin's early career includes roles as a Producer, Field Reporter, Editor, and Writer at NEWS Valdosta, as well as sales responsibilities at TD Graphics in Madison. Education includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Mass Media from Valdosta State University and an Associate of Arts from North Florida Community College.
