Michael Pederson

Michael Pederson is an experienced professional in the fields of emergency services and aquatics management, currently serving as a Firefighter/EMT with South King Fire & Rescue since January 2019. Alongside this role, Michael has been the Aquatics Manager at WAVE Aquatics since February 2016, instructing American Red Cross Lifeguarding courses and managing financial accounts for Wave Swim School. Additionally, Michael has held the position of Aquatic Program Supervisor for the City of Kirkland since May 2013, overseeing multiple waterfront lifeguarding operations and instructing lifeguard courses. Previous roles with the City of Kirkland include Senior Lifeguard and Lifeguard, where responsibilities included supervision, training, and ensuring patron safety. Michael holds a Master of Arts in International Security Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Middle Eastern & North African Studies from The University of Arizona.
