Derry Lyons

Derry Lyons has extensive work experience in the field of Information Technology. In 1987, they started as a Student Intern at Kent School District and continued in various roles until 2004, including Technical Support Manager and Internet Project Lead. In 1991, they worked as a Computer Intern at NOAA before moving on to become the Director of Information Technology Services at South Kitsap School District in 2004. From 2009 until 2022, they served as the Chair of the Executive Advisory Committee at WSIPC.

Derry Lyons pursued higher education with a focus on engineering and technical communications. From 1991 to 1993, Derry studied at the University of Washington and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering - Technical Communications. Prior to this, Derry attended Green River College from 1989 to 1991 and obtained an AA degree in General Studies. In addition to their academic background, Derry also obtained certification in "The Six Types of Working Genius" from an unspecified institution in July 2022.
