Zach Ellis, Jr.

Zach Ellis, Jr. serves as the Founder and Managing Partner of South Loop Ventures since April 2022. Zach is also actively involved in the venture capital ecosystem as a Kauffman Fellow for Class 30 at Kauffman Fellows, starting in June 2025. As a lecturer at Rice Business - Jones Graduate School of Business, Zach educates students on venture capital financing in high-growth businesses at the top-ranked entrepreneurship school according to Princeton Review. Additionally, Zach holds investment roles in several companies including PraxisPro, SmartWiz.io, LunchTable, Anesthesiology Matchmaking Engine|Lokum App, Screen Skinz®, Astronaut, and Kulture. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's Degree from the United States Naval Academy, an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School, and a Master's Degree in Biotechnology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, alongside studies at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
