Allyson Mauzy is a seasoned healthcare professional with extensive experience in advanced practice nursing and emergency medical services. Currently serving as the Director of Advanced Practice Providers in Adult and Pediatric Hospitalist and Critical Care Medicine at WakeMed since December 2009, Allyson Mauzy manages the care of critically ill patients, oversees interdisciplinary teams, and coordinates training for advanced practice providers. Additionally, Allyson Mauzy has played a vital role in responding to mass casualty incidents as an Adult Nurse Practitioner with NC-1 DMAT and has volunteered as an EMT and rescue technician with South Orange Rescue Squad. An experienced educator, Allyson Mauzy taught EMT courses at Durham Technical Community College and has a strong background in clinical research coordination. Allyson Mauzy is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Duke University School of Nursing, building on a robust academic foundation that includes a Master’s degree in Nursing and a Postgraduate degree as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
