Freddie Van Mierlo

Freddie van Mierlo is a Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament representing Henley and Thame at the House of Commons since July 2024. Currently serving as a District Councillor and Cabinet Member for Climate & Nature Recovery at South Oxfordshire District Council since May 2023, Freddie has also held the position of County Councillor at Oxfordshire County Council since May 2021. Prior professional experience includes a lengthy tenure at Harwood Levitt Consulting, where Freddie progressed from Junior Consultant to Director between January 2014 and July 2024, along with a brief role as Project Assistant at the European Network of Environmental Professionals in late 2013. Academic qualifications include an MA in European Union Studies from Leiden University, a BSc (Hons) in Geographical Sciences from the University of Bristol, and a degree in Geographical Sciences from Université Joseph Fourier (Grenoble I).
