Renee Hode

Renee Hode serves as the Director of Business and Entrepreneurship at South Piedmont Community College since January 2021, leading initiatives that support business development. Prior to this role, Renee was the Executive Director of the Small Business Center at Central Piedmont Community College, where responsibilities included leading planning processes and external entrepreneurial initiatives. Additional roles at Central Piedmont included Director of the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Center, where business development services were provided to entrepreneurs, and Regional Director for the North Carolina Community College Small Business Center Network. Renee also has experience as the owner of Rhode Consulting, providing marketing and virtual support services, and co-owned Sure Treasures, an upscale e-boutique. Earlier career positions included roles at Hartz Mountain Corporation in Regulatory Affairs and Consumer Relations, as well as a freelance consultant role at the W.I.S.E. Center. Renee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics from Monmouth University.
