Serena Oggero

Serena Oggero is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in digital innovation and artificial intelligence, particularly within climate projects and military intelligence. Presently serving as Associate Director of Digital Innovation at South Pole, Serena drives the digital and GIS & Remote Sensing strategy, focusing on Earth Observation data and monitoring tools for climate initiatives. Previously, at TNO, Serena held multiple roles including Chair of NATO SAS-157, where collaboration with international partners focused on integrating AI in intelligence processes. With a robust academic background, including a PhD in Elementary Particle Physics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Serena has also contributed to high-energy physics research at CERN, alongside experience in teaching and journalism.
