Tajiel Urioh

Tajiel Urioh is a seasoned professional in climate policy and development, currently serving as a Senior Managing Consultant at South Pole since February 2023. Tajiel also holds roles as Regional Senior Lead for Article 6 Project Development in Africa and Senior Climate Policy Advisor for the continent. Previous experience includes advising the Royal Norwegian Embassy on energy development in Tanzania, coordinating a consortium of over 22 donors for the Swedish Embassy, and co-founding The Green Icon, which focuses on climate change resilience. Tajiel has a background in communication and advocacy with ForumCC Tanzania, and early career experience as an environmental audit trainee. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of Dar es Salaam and ongoing Master's studies in International Cooperation and Development at The Open University of Tanzania.
