Fire Marshal, Fire Code Official - City Of Lynnwood, WA at South Snohomish County Fire & Rescue

Alex Jenness has extensive experience in fire and emergency services, currently serving as Fire Marshal and Fire Code Official for South Snohomish County Fire & Rescue since June 2015, following roles as Deputy Fire Marshal and Firefighter-Paramedic. In addition, Alex operates AJ Electronics LLC since February 2012 and has contributed as a Flight Paramedic with the Snohomish County Helicopter Rescue Team from August 2017 to December 2022. Previous positions include Firefighter-Paramedic with the City of Arlington and American Medical Response, Paramedic roles with Ballard Ambulance, ARFF firefighter at Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport, and Reserve Firefighter-EMT in the City of Pullman. Alex's education includes a Master of Science in Engineering Technology focused on Fire Safety and Explosion Protection from Oklahoma State University, and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Paramedic from Central Washington University and Psychology from Washington State University.

South Snohomish County Fire & Rescue

South Snohomish County Fire & Rescue is a Regional Fire Authority (RFA) that staffs 14 stations 24/7, serving more than 250,000 residents in unincorporated Southwest Snohomish County and the Cities of Lynnwood, Brier, Edmonds, and Mountlake Terrace; responding annually to more than 35,000 fire and emergency medical calls. All firefighters are certified as either emergency medical technicians or paramedics. Firefighters specializing in hazardous material response and technical rescue are on duty daily. South Snohomish County Fire & Rescue also has staff members assigned full time to community relations, fire prevention and public education.
