Hedy Lavinsky is a versatile professional with extensive experience in both human resources and the beauty industry. Currently serving as the Human Resources Manager at South Snohomish County Fire & Rescue since November 2020, Hedy has previously held roles such as HR Specialist for recruitment and Client Support & Implementation Specialist at WPS Disaster Management Solutions. In the beauty sector, Hedy has been a freelance hairstylist and makeup artist since January 2013, with a focus on film, editorial, runway, and special events. Hedy also has experience as a Senior Stylist at SEVEN salon, Editorial Hair & Makeup Instructor at the Academy of Art University, and owner of Hair by Hedy Lavinsky, recognized for winning 7x7 Best of SF for color. South Snohomish County Fire & Rescue is a Regional Fire Authority (RFA) that staffs 14 stations 24/7, serving more than 250,000 residents in unincorporated Southwest Snohomish County and the Cities of Lynnwood, Brier, Edmonds, and Mountlake Terrace; responding annually to more than 35,000 fire and emergency medical calls. All firefighters are certified as either emergency medical technicians or paramedics. Firefighters specializing in hazardous material response and technical rescue are on duty daily. South Snohomish County Fire & Rescue also has staff members assigned full time to community relations, fire prevention and public education.
