Amanda Petersen

Amanda Petersen has extensive work experience in the banking and finance sector. Amanda currently holds the position of VP, Commercial Lender at South Story Bank & Trust, starting in January 2022. Prior to this, they worked at First National Bank as a Commercial Loan Officer Trainee from August 2019 to February 2022.

Amanda also has experience with internal auditing, having served as an Internal Auditor at Ames National Corporation from August 2018 to August 2019, and at First National Bank, Ames/Ankeny from June 2015 to August 2018.

In addition, Amanda held multiple roles at First National Bank, Ames/Ankeny from 2008 to 2013, including Compliance Officer, Private Banking Officer and Ankeny Branch Manager, and Customer Service Rep/Teller.

Before entering the banking industry, Amanda worked as a Food Service Manager at The Branding Iron from August 2007 to July 2008, and as a Restaurant Manager at Ames Golf and Country Club from August 2005 to September 2007.

Amanda Petersen attended Iowa State University from 2003 to 2006, majoring in Business but did not obtain a degree. Subsequently, they enrolled at William Penn University from 2006 to 2008 and completed their Bachelor's degree in Business.
