Matthew Schmaltz

Matthew Schmaltz has extensive experience in the banking industry, with their most recent role being the CFO at South Story Bank & Trust since June 2022. Prior to this, they served as the CFO at Speck USA from April 2018 to June 2022. Matthew also held the position of VP/Commercial Banking at Northwest Bank from June 2017 to April 2018. From April 2012 to May 2017, Matthew was the SVP/Market President at Central Bank.

Matthew Schmaltz attended the University of Northern Iowa from 1996 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with an emphasis in Finance / Real Estate. Following this, they pursued further education at Iowa State University from 2001 to 2004. Here, they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a specialization in Finance.
