Dewey Johnson

Dewey (Duane) Johnson currently serves as Vice President of Operations and VP of MBS Sales & Trading at South Street Securities Holdings, Inc., focused on executing TBA trades for mortgage originators since July 2022. Prior to this role, Dewey held the position of Director of Operations at South Street Capital Management, managing repo trading, back-office operations, collateral management, and compliance from September 2012 to September 2024. Dewey also worked at Atlantic Capital Advisors (Hatteras Financial) until its acquisition by South Street Capital Management in November 2018, where responsibilities included automating back office procedures and trading repurchase agreements. Dewey's earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Investment Manager Specialist at Wells Fargo Bank, representing self-directed investment clients with accounts ranging from $500 million to $10 billion. Dewey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Entrepreneurship, Finance, and Accounting from the University of St. Thomas, obtained between 1997 and 1999.
