We are also home to the world famous South Shields Marine School – delivering excellent maritime training.

In November 2012, we received our best-ever Ofsted report confirming South Tyneside College as the only college in Tyne and Wear with rising academic standards, and an overall rating of GOOD.

We can offer Services for Schools whereby our dedicated schools'​ liaison team can deliver a wide range of progression activities to your students to enable them to make an informed decision about their future and allow a smooth transition into further education.
