Emergency Communications Lieutenant III, EMD, EFD, CTO, AND EMD-Q at South Walton Fire Dist

Angela Gilluly has a diverse work history, with experience in emergency communications, research, and aviation. Angela has been working as a Communications Lieutenant III at the South Walton Fire District since May 2019, where they oversee the activities of Communications Operators, provides pre-hospital care and emergency warnings, and contributes to process development and improvement teams. Prior to this, Angela served as an E-911 Dispatcher at the Metro Nashville Emergency Communications Center from July 2013 to May 2019, where they also held the role of Communications Training Officer. Angela has also worked as a Research Assistant/Intern at the University of Memphis Center for Crime and Criminology Research in 2010, and as a Criminal Justice Research Assistant and intern at the University of Memphis from August 2009 to April 2010. Angela's earlier experience includes working as a Flight Attendant/Air Safety, Health, and Security at Northwest Airlines from October 1999 to February 2009, where they ensured compliance with regulations and took charge during emergencies.

Angela Gilluly completed their high school education at Germantown High School from 1983 to 1987. Angela obtained a High School Diploma with a focus on college preparatory studies. Angela then pursued further education at The University of Memphis, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, and Legal Thought. Their academic journey at the university spanned from 2009 to 2013.
