Denis Lapchev

Denis Lapchev is a seasoned data professional with extensive experience in data engineering and data science. Currently serving as a Senior Data Engineer at South32 since October 2022, Denis previously worked at Moneyball Australia as a Senior Data Scientist/Data Engineer from March 2021 to September 2022, and at VGW from September 2016 to March 2021, where Denis held positions as Senior Data Scientist/Core DS Team Lead and Data Scientist. Significant contributions include developing predictive models in churn analysis, lifetime value assessment, and fraud detection. Denis's earlier experience includes serving as an Algorithm Engineer/FEA Analyst at DanRaz LTD from September 2009 to September 2016, where Denis contributed to R&D projects and the development of patented products across multiple industries. Additionally, Denis worked as an R&D Engineer in the maritime industry from August 2006 to August 2009, focusing on mechanical systems and numerical analysis.
