Helen North

Helen North is an experienced professional with a strong background in mining and production management. Currently serving as the Manager of Production at South32 since October 2015, Helen oversees the delivery of bauxite ore to the refinery and manages essential raw materials like caustic, biomass, alumina, coal, and lime. Prior roles at South32 include Superintendent of Operations Engineering, focusing on mine design, scheduling, and operational improvements, as well as other supervisory and coordination positions. Previously, at BHP Billiton from 2008 to 2015, Helen held key positions such as Principal Operations and Business Development and Senior Mining Engineer, concentrating on resource planning and asset management. Helen holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) (Hons) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from The University of Queensland.
