James Jonak

James (Bo) Jonak is a Senior Mine Geologist at South32 since August 2022, leading a team of Quarry and QC Geologists, with a focus on manganese ore extraction on Groote Eylandt. Previously, James served as an Acting Senior Exploration Geologist, managing the Exploration Program at GEMCO and delivering critical data ahead of mining plans. James's extensive experience includes positions at CPB Contractors, PSM, JK Geotechnics, Roy Hill, Hancock Prospecting, BHP, and the Geological Survey of NSW, covering various roles from Ore Definition Geologist to Project Geologist. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Geology and Palaeontology from Macquarie University.
