Jan Jacobs

Jan Jacobs is an experienced mining professional with a robust background in technical services management and engineering. Currently serving as the Technical Services Manager at South32 since March 2021, Jan has previously held key positions at Glencore Copper, including Technical Services Superintendent and Technical Manager, focusing on mine planning and operational guidance. With extensive experience at companies such as Fox Projects, CES Group, Read Swatman & Voigt, and Anglo American, Jan has demonstrated expertise in project management, feasibility studies, and health and safety compliance. Jan holds a Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mining and Mineral Engineering) from the University of the Witwatersrand, along with a Certificate of Competence in Strata Control and a Bachelor's degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the University of Johannesburg.
