Lafras Lamont

Lafras Lamont is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in high voltage systems and power systems engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Electrical Engineer (HV) at South32 since December 2019, Lafras has previously worked as an Electrical Engineer at Advisian and served as a Power Systems Engineer at Amplitude Consultants Pty Ltd, focusing on grid connection studies for renewable energy. Lafras's earlier roles include Electrical Engineer at Power System Dynamics and Senior Lecturer & Electrical Engineering Consultant at North West University Potchefstroom Campus, where responsibilities included consulting for major mining operations and teaching power systems.
