Matthew Readford

Matthew Readford is an experienced professional in the geology and mining sectors, currently serving as a Senior Manager in Project and Industry Analysis at South32 since January 2016. Previous roles at South32 include Manager of Project & Industry Evaluation, Manager of Geology and Exploration for the Hermosa project, Lead Resource Geologist, and Principal Resource Geologist. Prior to joining South32, Matthew worked at XSTRACT Mining Consultants from July 2011 to December 2015 as a Principal Consultant and Manager of Geology in the Brisbane Office. Matthew's extensive experience also includes leadership positions at Snowden Mining Industry Consultants, Noakes Boat & Shipyards, and Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines, among others. Academically, Matthew holds an MBA from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management and a BSc Hons in Earth Sciences from Macquarie University, reflecting a strong foundation in both business and scientific fields.
