Philip Roos

Philip Roos is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in financial reporting, business partnership, and governance. Currently serving as Finance Director/Country CFO at Mozal under South32 since June 2015, Philip directs financial reporting and local treasury functions while engaging with key stakeholders to enhance the commercial operations of the smelter. Prior experience includes significant roles at BHP Billiton, where responsibilities encompassed management accounting, risk management, and internal auditing. Philip also led a national enforcement unit at the South African Revenue Service, focusing on fraud investigations and government collaboration. Academic qualifications include a CA (SA) designation and multiple degrees in accounting and auditing from the University of Pretoria and the University of South Africa.
