Russell Gray has over 14 years of work experience in various software development and architecture roles. Russell is currently employed as a Principal Architect at South32 since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Solutions Architect at the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety in Western Australia from October 2020 to October 2021. Russell also served as an Integration Architect at the Forest Products Commission, Western Australia, where they designed and developed an integration between a SaaS solution and an on-premise ERP system using Azure integration services. Russell has also held multiple roles at ABN Group, including Solutions Architect, Software Development Team Lead, Senior Software Developer, and Software Developer, from 2012 to 2020. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Software Developer at Kerdels, Equity Data Systems, and NGIS.

Russell Gray holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree in Computing from IT Sligo. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including the Strategic Thinking certification from LinkedIn in 2022, the Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in 2021, and The Open Group Certified: TOGAF® 9 Certified certification from The Open Group in 2019. Russell has also acquired various certifications from Microsoft, such as the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect certification in 2019 and the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification in 2019. Russell has additional certifications related to Dell Boomi and various exams from Microsoft, all obtained between 2018 and 2019.
