Sean Law

Sean Law has an extensive work experience in the energy industry and data analysis. Sean has worked as a Principal Market Analyst at South32 since 2023. Prior to this, they were an Energy Modelling Manager at Cornwall Insight Australia from February 2023 to September 2023. In their role, Sean led a team of consultants, delivered energy price forecasts, and developed innovative forecasting and modelling methodologies.

Before joining Cornwall Insight Australia, Sean worked at Synergy, where they held various positions. Sean served as an Acting Energy Market Modelling Lead from August 2022 to February 2023, overseeing quantitative analysis and leading energy market and commercial modelling. Sean also worked as a Senior Analyst in electricity market modelling and as a Forecasting Analyst in retail pricing and performance.

Sean started their career at EY as a Senior Consultant in Electricity Market Modelling from May 2018 to August 2020. Sean also gained experience as a Junior Data Analyst and Software Developer at Alcolizer Technology Pty Ltd and as a Tutor and Summer Research Scholar at The University of Queensland. Additionally, they worked as an Electrical & Electronics Engineering Intern at Sigra Pty Ltd and as a Disability Support Worker at Cerebral Palsy League.

Sean Law attended The University of Queensland from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering with Honours Class I. Their field of study was Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
