Louise Gilbert has extensive experience in press and public relations, working in various roles over the years. Louise started their career in 2000 as a Press & Marketing Assistant at Wyvern Theatre and later worked as a Production and Casting Assistant at Channel 4 and Ostrich Media. In 2007, they became a Front Line Administrator at Company Pictures.
In 2008, Louise joined Rose Theatre as a Press & PR Officer, where they developed and executed numerous successful campaigns for the newly opened theatre. Louise left Rose Theatre in 2011 and moved on to Shakespeare's Globe, where they worked as a Senior Press & PR Officer until 2014. In this role, Louise played a crucial role in developing and implementing media strategies for various events, including the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Following their time at Shakespeare's Globe, Louise worked as a Freelance Arts Publicist and as a Media Relations Coordinator at Festivals Edinburgh. In 2015, they became a Media Manager at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society before transitioning to Midas Public Relations in 2016. At Midas, Louise served as a Senior Account Manager and later joined Southbank Centre as a Press Manager. In 2018, they took on the role of Senior Press Manager (interim) at Southbank Centre.
Throughout their career, Louise Gilbert has demonstrated exceptional skills in media relations, campaign management, and developing effective PR strategies.
Louise Gilbert completed their A Levels in English Language, Media Studies, and Drama at Swindon College from 2000 to 2002. Afterward, they pursued a BA Honours degree in Media Arts at Royal Holloway, University of London from 2003 to 2006.
