Susan Johnston

Susan Johnston is a seasoned professional in finance and operations, currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Southbank Centre since November 2019, while also holding the position of Trustee at Edinburgh Television Festival. Previously, Susan held the role of COO at Somerset House Trust from April 2016 to October 2019 and contributed as an Independent Member of the Investment Committee at BBC Children in Need, as well as serving as Director of Finance and Operations from April 2014 to June 2018. Additional experience includes non-executive director roles at Freesat and Freeview, and significant positions at ITV PLC, where Susan was Finance Director for ITV Channels and Director of Finance for ITV Production. Susan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus in Accounting, Finance, and Marketing from the University of Otago.
