Aleene Poulsen has a diverse work experience in the field of nutrition. Aleene served as a Community Dietitian for SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC), where they provided medical nutrition therapy and taught nutrition and cooking classes to clients of all ages. Aleene also worked as a WIC Assistant Nutrition Educator at SEARHC WIC Program, where they provided nutrition counseling, processed applications, and promoted the program. Additionally, they worked at Utah State University as a Preceptor, Teaching Assistant, Grader, Supplemental Instructor, and Honors Fellow and Ambassador, gaining teaching, mentoring, and leadership skills. Aleene also served as a Dietetic Student Preceptor at McKay-Dee Hospital.
Aleene Poulsen began their education journey in 2006 at Utah State University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food Sciences. After six years of dedicated study, they successfully completed their program in 2012 and earned their degree.
In addition to their formal education, Aleene Poulsen obtained certification in ServSafe in April 2012. This certification was granted by the American National Standards Institute and the National Restaurant Association.
