Dr. Theresa Shelley, LCSW has a diverse range of work experience in the field of behavioral health and addiction treatment. Dr. Theresa has served as the Behavioral Health Program Manager at the SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) since 2019, overseeing the operations of geographically autonomous sites and maximizing clinical programming. Prior to this, they worked as a Clinical Supervisor at MedMark Treatment Centers, where they played a key role in the development and administration of an opioid treatment program. At Sanford House Addiction Treatment Centers, Dr. Shelley served as the Clinical Manager, responsible for the administration of clinical programming for substance use disorder (SUD) treatment programs. Dr. Theresa also has experience as the Director of Social Services at North Ottawa Care Center, where they facilitated assessments and care planning for geriatric patients. Additionally, Dr. Shelley has worked as a CSCT Mental Health Therapist at Altacare of Montana, providing diagnostic assessments and treatment planning for K-12 students with serious emotional disturbances. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Female Offender Program Counselor & Corrections Case Manager at Duluth Bethel, where they managed and supervised corrections officers and residents, and facilitated counseling for female offenders with mental health and substance dependence diagnoses. Dr. Theresa Shelley's work experience demonstrates their expertise in clinical management, program development, counseling, and patient advocacy.

Dr. Theresa Shelley, LCSW, earned their Doctorate in Social Work from Capella University from 2015 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Minnesota Duluth between 2006 and 2008. Dr. Theresa also holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Northern Michigan University, which they received from 2002 to 2006.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Dr. Shelley has obtained multiple certifications in the field of social work. Dr. Theresa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Alaska since 2019. Dr. Theresa also holds the credential of Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) from the State of Minnesota, which they obtained in 2012. Dr. Shelley is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of Montana since 2012 and a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) in the State of Minnesota since 2009. Furthermore, they are a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) through the International Association of Trauma Professionals, which they achieved in 2019. Finally, Dr. Shelley is a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of Michigan, which they acquired in 2015.
