Leatha Merculieff

SVP & Chief of Operations at SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium

Leatha Merculieff has over 20 years of healthcare experience where she has successfully managed employees, budgets, special projects, marketing efforts, and the customer experience. As SEARHC Senior Vice President and Chief of Operations, Merculieff oversees the operations of ancillary services for the entire Consortium, including Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, Dental, Marketing, and Optometry services.

She began her healthcare career in 2003 as the Public Relations Department Manager for Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC)/Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) where she quickly advanced to become a Hospital Administrative Manager. In this role, Leatha managed public relations and projects for administration as well as provided high-level coordination for the ANMC Joint Operating Board. In 2009, Leatha was promoted to Senior Program Manager where she continued to manage special projects for hospital administration with a strong focus on client priorities and expectations to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

In 2015, Leatha became SEARHC Vice President Executive Administration – working collaboratively with executive leadership in continuing to manage the customer/patient experience. As the VP/Executive Administration, she relies on her excellent coalition-building skills to create harmonious relationships with community members, staff, tribal organizations, governmental and external health, wellness, and prevention organizations to achieve SEARHC’s strategic goals.

Leatha has a Master of Business Administration from the Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Alaska, Anchorage.
