Michael Reed has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Michael started their career at McDonald Farm LLC as an Assistant Farm Manager from June 2005 to February 2007. Michael then joined Farm Credit Mid-America as a Financial Services Officer in May 2007 and worked there until June 2017. After that, they joined SimplyBank as a Vice President/Loan Officer from July 2017 to January 2019. Michael then held the role of 1st VP/Lending Officer from February 2019 to June 2021. Michael was subsequently promoted to Senior Relationship Manager from July 2021 to March 2022, and finally became a Relationship Manager from April 2022 to July 2022. Currently, they are working as a Senior Vice President/Lending Officer at SouthEast Bank starting from July 2022.

Michael Reed attended Bradley Central High School from 1997 to 2000 and graduated with a High School Diploma. After high school, they enrolled in Cleveland State Community College from 2000 to 2002, where they pursued General Studies. Following that, they attended the University of Tennessee at Martin from 2002 to 2005 and earned a degree in Science with a focus on Animal Science.

In addition to their formal education, Michael has obtained several certifications. In 2013, they completed The Southeastern Agricultural Lenders School at Clemson University. In 2019, they obtained a certification from the Southeastern School of Commercial Lending, offered by the Tennessee Bankers Association. Lastly, Michael has also received training in Dale Carnegie specifically for Sales Success, although details about the institution, month, and year of completion are unavailable.
