Leslie Phillips

Clinical Director at SouthEast Eye Specialists

Dr. Phillips’ clinical practice acumen ranges from the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma to pre-operative assessment of oculoplastics abnormalities. Dr. Phillips is skilled in surgical management of patients who have undergone previous refractive surgery and is well-versed in the evaluation and management of acute ocular urgencies. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Phillips also directs SouthEast Eye Specialists student physician training program and is editor-in-chief of its monthly newsletter.

While at Indiana University, Dr. Phillips received the Brent Swanda Memorial Scholarship for outstanding professional and ethical ideals. She also served as an associate instructor for diagnostics and geometric optics at the university. Dr. Phillips completed a residency in ocular disease at SouthEast Eye Specialists and joined the practice in 2009.

Dr. Phillips is an active member of the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians and American Optometric Association. She and her husband Paul Flanagan enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities.
