In January of 2017, Brian Tilton was promoted to Vice President of Southeast Power's Carolina electrical construction operations. Mr. Tilton, who joined Southeast Power in 2014 as a Construction Manager, has over 30 years of experience in electrical construction.
In 1985, after serving six years in the South Carolina Army National Guard, Brian started working in production at Santee Cooper, South Carolina's largest public utility. After 18 months of working in production at a coal-fired generating station, Brian started work in Santee Cooper's Construction Management Department. His work included all aspects of project management and construction oversight including substation and transmission line design, right-of-way clearing, foundation installation, structure erection, conductor & fiber optic wire stringing, erosion control, and safety. Brian was in charge of the field oversight and inspection of numerous transmission and substation construction projects and continued working in this role until June of 2014. At that time, Brian started working as a Project Manager and was eventually promoted to Construction Manager for Southeast Power's Carolina Regional office.
