Andrea Rodriguez has over 15 years of experience in various roles within the grocery retail industry. Andrea started their career in 2005 at Winn-Dixie Stores Inc as a Neighborhood Marketing Specialist, where they developed public relations and marketing strategies to increase customer loyalty and sales. Andrea then moved on to become a Multicultural Marketing Specialist, managing multicultural public relations and marketing strategies for the Hispanic, Urban, and Kosher markets.
In 2010, Andrea transitioned to the role of Brand Management Specialist at Winn-Dixie, where they developed and implemented marketing plans for the fresh departments. Andrea also assisted in ensuring guest-facing communications aligned with the brand's positioning and achieved sales goals.
In 2012, Andrea took on the role of Sales and Marketing Specialist at Winn-Dixie, where they developed and executed marketing plans to support competitive responses and grand openings. Andrea also monitored competition activity and led cross-functional teams to launch promotional campaigns.
In 2013, Andrea joined Southeastern Grocers as a Senior Sales Planning Specialist, responsible for strategic sales promotion initiatives and coordination of ad placements. Andrea later became the Manager of Corporate Campaigns and Events, planning and executing event programs and campaigns for all Southeastern Grocers banners and formats.
Andrea's experience at Southeastern Grocers also includes roles as Category Marketing Manager, where they managed overall marketing responsibility for Grocery Edible and Non-Edible, and as Senior Manager of Sales Planning and Campaigns.
From 2018 to 2019, Andrea served as the Senior Manager of E-Commerce at Southeastern Grocers, leading and managing e-commerce across multiple store banners, increasing physical availability and generating significant sales growth.
Most recently, Andrea has taken on the position of Director of Customer Planning & Media Hub at Southeastern Grocers, overseeing customer planning strategies and media initiatives.
In their current role as Director of Supplier Diversity & Local at Southeastern Grocers, Andrea is responsible for developing and implementing a new Supplier Diversity & Local program throughout the organization. Andrea'srole involves working closely with merchandising and other internal business leaders to improve procurement and purchasing processes and establish a supplier base that represents the communities served by the company.
Andrea Rodriguez has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing & Advertising from Universidad Politecnico Gran Colombiano, which they obtained from 1998 to 2003. In 2001 to 2003, they pursued a Master's degree in Humanistic Communication at Escuela de Postgrados Politecnico Grancolombiano. In 2008, they attended the Florida State University Center for Hispanic Marketing Communication, specializing in Hispanic Marketing Communication. In 2023, they completed two courses at Dale Carnegie Training, namely the Dale Carnegie Developing Mentoring in Others and Dale Carnegie Immersion Course.
