Jesse Welsh

Jesse Welsh, JD, MHR, SPHR, CCP, GRP has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Jesse started their career as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Air Force, serving from 1994 to 1999. They then worked as a Production Supervisor at Harland Clarke from 2000 to 2001, followed by a role as a Plant/Manufacturing Manager at the same company from 2001 to 2003.

From 2003 to 2004, Jesse worked as a Human Resources Business Partner at GE Garrett Aviation, where they provided HR support and modified compensation/benefits plans. They then moved on to Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. (MCFA), where they served as a Manager of Compensation, Benefits, and Staffing from 2007 to 2013. At MCFA, Jesse supervised a team and administered various benefits plans while conducting market surveys.

In 2013, Jesse joined Texas Dow Employees Credit Union (TDECU) as a Manager of Total Rewards. In this role, they created and oversaw compensation programs and developed benefits policies for 700 employees at 40 locations.

Most recently, Jesse has been with Southeastern Grocers since 2016. They have held various roles within the organization, including Senior Manager of Compensation, Director of Total Rewards, Senior Director of Total Rewards, and Vice President of Total Rewards. Currently, Jesse is serving as the Vice President of Total Rewards & HRIS, contributing their expertise in total rewards and HRIS systems.

Jesse Welsh, JD, MHR, SPHR, CCP, GRP has a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Texas A&M University, a Master's Degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma, and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) in Employment Law & Mediation from the South Texas College of Law Houston. In addition to these degrees, Jesse has obtained several certifications, including the Competent Leader and Competent Communicator from Toastmasters International, the Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) and Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) from World at Work, the SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM, and the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
