Whit Forrester is an accomplished photography professional and educator with extensive experience in various roles across the art and photography sectors. Currently serving as an Instructor of Photography at Southeastern Louisiana University since January 2025, Forrester also founded New Aera, a photography company specializing in archival digitization and commercial photography. Past roles include lead photographer at Digital Revolution and photographer at the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive. Forrester's academic background includes an MFA in Photography from Columbia College Chicago and experience as an adjunct professor at Bradley University, where responsibilities included facilitating classes and engaging with student work. Additional experience includes roles with the Chicago Artists Coalition, Honey Wolf Ridge Permaculture Farm, and Kentuckians For The Commonwealth, highlighting a diverse skill set in art, community organizing, and sustainability.
