James B.

James B. is an experienced marketing and design professional currently serving as a Senior Marketing Strategist at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology since October 2022. James holds ongoing roles as a Marketing Team Member at EcoMeter and as a Marketing/Design Volunteer with the Brands For Better Foundation, both starting in September 2021 and April 2021, respectively. Previously, James worked as an Art Director and Marketing Director at Routeique from October 2017 to October 2022 and as a Freelance Digital Design/Marketing professional with JBD from May 2009 to May 2018. Other notable experiences include owning Jim Boon Welding from December 2015 to December 2017 and serving as a Contract Designer/Art Director at Inspire Studios Inc. from 2008 to 2009. James gained foundational skills as a Multimedia Graphic Designer at SDMG from January 2007 to January 2008. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications from the Alberta University of the Arts (2004-2007) and a Welding Technology/Welder degree from SAIT (2011-2014).
