Mark Butler

Mark Butler is a seasoned professional in international education and corporate development, currently serving as the Vice President of Corporate Development, Applied Research & International at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology since March 2018. Previous roles include Interim Vice-President and Associate Vice President International at SAIT, where responsibilities involved the strategic oversight of international initiatives and student enrollment. Mark has also held directorial positions at Bow Valley College and Lakeland College, focusing on international education management and the development of global partnerships. With a background in fiscal and performance management, Mark has contributed to the public sector as a Town Councillor in Vermilion and has a strong academic foundation, holding an MBA from Athabasca University and a PhD in Business from Capella University.
