Dr. Jay Marr

Dr. Jay Marr's work experience includes roles at various educational institutions. Dr. Jay is currently the Vice President at the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Prior to this, they served as the Vice Chancellor at the Sullivan University System, Inc. From 1999 to 2022, they worked at Sullivan University, where their roles included President, Vice President for Academic Affairs/Chief Academic Officer, Vice President of Student Services/Dean of Students, and Dean of Students. Before joining Sullivan University, they worked at Sullivan College as the Director of Student Affairs. Dr. Jay also served as the Associate Director of Student Affairs at Sullivan College/University. Their earliest known role was as a Resident Manager at Ball State University.

Dr. Jay Marr's education history includes obtaining a Diploma from New Albany High School in 1988. Dr. Jay then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology from Ball State University between 1988 and 1993. Following this, they earned a Master of Arts degree in Executive Development from Ball State University from 1994 to 1996. Dr. Marr furthered their education by completing an Ed.D. in Leadership Education at Spalding University from 2006 to 2009.
