John Olaimey came to Southern with over twenty years of experience in banking, finance, corporate law, and executive management. Olaimey serves as the president and CEO of SBB, where he oversees all bank activities. Prior to joining Southern, he served as president of Radius Group, a software company that specializes in the development of innovative products that enhance the efficiency and profitability of community banks. His previous experience also includes serving as the Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel, and Secretary for Centennial Bank. Before his position at Centennial, he was the Vice President of Corporate Law for Alltel Corporation where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions, general corporate matters, real estate matters, and financial transactions. Olaimey received his Juris Doctorate with High Honors from the Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas in Business Administration and Financial Management.
