Ian Walsh (Squid)

Ian "Squid" Walsh is an experienced sound engineer specializing in monitor engineering and system technology, currently working with Southern California Sound Image since March 2017. Walsh has a long history in the audio industry, having operated as a self-employed sound engineer since 1994. Notable positions include monitor engineer for Ghost from April 2018 to July 2021, and monitor tech for Iron Maiden from 1999 to June 2016. Additionally, Walsh served as a monitor engineer for Of Mice & Men between October 2014 and November 2015. Before focusing on sound engineering, Walsh worked as an MSDT scuba instructor for Sea Fun Divers from January 2006 to October 2011. Education was completed at Edge End High in Nelson, Lancs, UK, from 1972 to 1977.
